Out of the depths of despair comes great joy: The Cougars have a new coach, Kirby Moore, and he's doing serious work already. A lot of the roster is staying — especially on the offensive side — and he's adding reinforcements already, including a QB from UC Davis who lit up FCS (Caden Pinnick) and a former 4-star burner on the outside from Florida (Tank Hawkins).

As if the vibes weren't already good enough, another piece of delightful news dropped just before we recorded: Washington is losing its quarterback, Demond Williams, to the portal … and the Huskies are all freaking out about it. It’s VERY SAD, and let’s just say we had some thoughts on their complaints about “loyalty.”

After that, we talked men's basketball, which is also trending upward after seeming to figure some things out offensively. Women's basketball, unfortunately, is not trending that direction.
